This has absolutely nothing to do with The Controversy between evolution and creationism, but it’s about Jack Chick — the world’s greatest theologian, philosopher, illustrator, communicator, and creationist. If you’re not yet familiar with the Creationist Comic Books from Jack Chick, you ought to be.
We don’t know how we missed him last year, but two years ago we posted Jack Chick and Halloween — 2011, and that has links to all our other Halloween posts, including discussions of the views of Answers in Genesis (AIG) and the Institute for Creation Research (ICR). They all oppose Halloween, and for good reason.
AIG says: it’s “indicative of the prevailing godless worldview — a celebration in which children are encouraged to beg from their neighbors, while playing with traditions that date back to the most dangerous pagan occult practices.” And ICR says: “The children of each community need protection from the evil influences boldly swarming this night.”
We are pleased to announce that Chick is once again battling against this unholy celebration. His newest comic is Spooky! It’s about a little boy, a godless, Halloween-celebrating neighbor, and … no, we don’t want to give the ending away. You’ll have to read it for yourself.
The graphic above this post is from the last panel of Chick’s new comic. We’re confident that it will inspire you to make the right choice this year. If you don’t, Chick says the Lake of Fire awaits you.
