THE CURMUDGEON GIVES credit where it’s due. Florida Citizens for Science has been doing outstanding work regarding Florida’s new education standards, and now the anti-evolution bills pending in that state’s legislature. They have an excellent article at their blog: An important question goes unasked. Excerpt (emphasis supplied):
As such, Florida Citizens for Science makes this public challenge to [Representative Alan] Hays: Give examples of critical analysis of evolution that have no religious connotations and are also legitimate, up-to-date scientific ideas. If Hays refuses to give a straight answer, or even worse cites discredited, unscientific ideas, then the intent of these bills is questionable at best and the bill needs to be dropped.
