Update on Bobby Jindal Email Campaign

AS WE’VE REPORTED earlier, Barbara Forrest has initiated an email campaign to encourage Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal to veto the creationism-friendly bill recently passed by that state’s legislature. Dr. Forrest’s website now has information informing us that: A number of the nation’s premier scientific societies have called upon Gov. Jindal to veto SB 733. Her website lists some of those organizations — a most impressive list.

Among those contacting Jindal is Dr. Alan I. Leshner, head of the prestigious American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). The AAAS represents around 262 affiliated societies and academies of science, serving 10 million individuals. They are also the publishers of Science, which has the largest paid circulation of any peer-reviewed general science journal in the world, with an estimated total readership of one million.

Here is Dr. Lesnher’s letter: Veto of SB 733. We’re unable to excerpt portions of it, so you’ll have to click over and read it for yourself.

It’s not too late to add your voice to what must be thousands of others who are contacting Governor Jindal. You can learn what to do at Barbara Forrest’s site, or see our earlier article here: Send an email to Governor Bobby Jindal.

  2. Not only is there nothing scientifically valid in evolution, the world is flat, the sun revolves around the Earth, and Earth is at the center of the universe! So, why aren’t we burning these godless heathen heretics at the stake?!
