Rev. David Rives — We Can’t Create the Universe

The Drool-o-tron™ is a harsh mistress. Its sirens and flashing lights grabbed our attention and wouldn’t leave us alone! The blinking letters of its wall display said WorldNetDaily (WND). The Drool-o-tron™ had found the latest video by the brilliant and articulate leader of David Rives Ministries.

Our computer was locked onto this article at WND: Creation impossible to re-create even with advanced technology. Wow — what a provocative headline!

The actual title of the video is In the Heavens above and the Earth beneath, He is God. The rev informs his fans that with telescopes we can see galaxies, and here on Earth we can see diverse plants and animals — all created fully functional, with patterns, structure and design.

He declares that the universe is impossible for us to recreate, even with our advanced technology. It’s beyond evolution! There’s no doubt about it — we see the power of God’s creation everywhere! This is a very humbling video.

The rev is all dressed up in one of his bible-boy suits, and he’s the cutest rev you’ve ever seen! The video is his usual 90-second presentation — before the commercial. Go ahead, click over to WND and watch it.

As we always do with the rev’s videos, we dedicate the comments section for your use as an Intellectual Free Fire Zone. You know the rules. Okay, the comments are open. Go for it!

  1. I wonder what the Rev, ‘ole Hambo & the usual suspects make of the finding of bones of the new human like species (H. naledi) in S. Africa?

  2. Charles Deetz ;)

@Jason If they forget to coordinate their answers, maybe some will say Naledi is human, others say they are not. Should be fun here to pick them apart when they do talk about it.

  3. I continue to be amazed at the argument which goes that such-and-such is so different from this-and-that, so different that such-and-such must be a this-and-that.

In this case, we are told that the universe, galaxies and life are beyond anything that we know of which is manufactured and designed, so we know that they must be manufactured and designed (and not “evolved”).

  4. H. naledi = bones found in a cave that is less than 50,000 years old, interesting.

  5. Colin, I’ll have a post about that in a couple of hours.

My bet is that they’ll say the fossils are fakes. It wouldn’t be the first time they’ve made such a claim, after all.

  7. But …. but …. the Good Reve is completely right! The design of snowflakes is entirely beyond the comprehension of Evolution Theory! Take that, athiest.
Of course the Good Rev totally ignores

but only grumps like me whine about such details.

  8. TomS, I’ve noticed the same contradiction in their arguments. Manmade objects are clearly designed because they look so different from natural, undesigned things. Therefore, these natural, undesigned things also must have been designed.
