Sunday Night Free Fire Zone

The Discoveroids haven’t posted anything today. There are no amusing letters-to-the-editor. Actual news of The Controversy between evolution and creationism is non-existent. So what shall we talk about?

Once again, we need to entertain ourselves. We therefore declare another Intellectual Free Fire Zone.

Wanna talk about the Presidential primaries? Go ahead. We’re open for the discussion of pretty much anything — science, politics, economics, whatever — as long as it’s tasteful and interesting. Banter, babble, bicker, bluster, blubber, blather, blab, blurt, burble, boast — say what you will. But avoid flame-wars and beware of the profanity filters.

We now throw open the comments to you, dear reader. Have at it.

  1. I am simply the best!

There, it needed to be said.

  2. Gee, doc, ever think of running for president?

  3. Mike Elzinga

The open carry law in Texas is nothing more than an attempt by macho Texas males to mitigate their embarrassment with indecent exposure .

  4. michaelfugate

Funny op-ed claiming that if Ted Cruz believes what he says about the US Constitution, he should not be illegible to be president.

  5. But, but, I wanted to speak about profanities. Flocking is such a perfect word when……………describing Hambo. Only a flocked up individual would flock to his flocking excrement. Flock!

  6. @michaelfugate: Veerry interesting! And so ironic!

  7. Did anyone else see this interesting piece?

Why too much evidence can be a bad thing

I’m surprised the usual suspects of creationism haven’t picked it up and tried to use it against evilution–completely misunderstanding it of course.

  8. That was an excellent article, DavidK.

“An Australian gastroenterologist advanced a nutty theory.”
Thanks, Dutch education! When I heard of this nutty theory for the first time I was immediately willing to accept it and let my beliefs about stress go.

    “emphasizing information over process.”
As a teacher math and physics I do the opposite. A by-product is that girls tend to perform better in my class than boys on average. This has been the case since I began in 1989.

Wanna talk about the Presidential primaries?

Man, I don’t even want to think about the Presidential primaries!
