A Great Creationist ‘Documentary’ Returns!

In case you missed it when we wrote about it last year — see A Bold New Creationist ‘Documentary’ — you’re being given another chance, dear reader. The great news is from Ken Ham (ol’ Hambo), the ayatollah of Appalachia, the world’s holiest man who knows more about religion and science than everyone else.

Ol’ Hambo’s new post is Is Genesis History? Documentary Back in Theaters February 22. Here are some excerpts, with bold font added by us for emphasis:

As a special anniversary event, the fantastic and very popular documentary Is Genesis History? is coming back to American movie theaters for one night only, February 22, 2018, with some brand-new, never-before-seen content.

[*Begin Drool Mode*] Ooooooooooooh! [*End Drool Mode*] Then he says:

This documentary, hosted by Del Tackett of the well-known The Truth Project, features several AiG scientists [Hee hee!] as well as nearly a dozen other experts. I strongly encourage you to take everyone you know — believers and unbelievers — to see this powerful film on the big screen.

Here’s that outfit’s website: The Truth Project. They’re very creationist, and they have some information about Del Tackett. Okay, back to Hambo. He tells us:

For this anniversary event, Del brought three college students from Wheaton College in Illinois to visit the Ark Encounter and filmed their tour. These students have started a creation club at Wheaton College — a school that does not stand on the authority of God’s Word when it comes to Genesis as AiG does. I think you’ll enjoy their exchange. This exclusive content will be shown at the end of the film.

Wowie — three creationist students! Who wouldn’t want to see that? Hambo continues:

If you haven’t seen Is Genesis History? or if you want to see it again, visit [link omitted] to find one of the 850 theaters across America screening the documentary for an encore showing February 22, 2018. Or you can order a DVD or digital download from our online store. [Links omitted.]

Interesting. It’s showing at 850 theaters. The earlier creationist ‘documentary’ featuring Ben Stein, Expelled, was exhibited at 1,052 theaters — and that thing ended up in bankruptcy. Anyway, this is the rest of it:

Learn more at [link omitted] and watch the trailer [link omitted] promoting the upcoming anniversary showing. I encourage you to share it with friends and family.

Okay, dear reader. Start making arrangements to see this great “documentary.” It’s recommenced by ol’ Hambo himself, so you know it’s good.

  1. It is also available on Netflix!!!! for fricking sake, along with a bunch of “dramatizations” of Bible stories!

“Is Genesis History?” Passé? Out of Date? Old-Fashioned? No longer Relevant?

  3. Okay. On a more uplifting note, this Jan 25 was Robert Burns Birthday. I attended a Robert Burns dinner this evening and it was outstanding. If there were any creationists in the room, they ran away when the pipe band started to play.

  4. ” the fantastic and very popular documentary”…

He is quite like a carnival barker, isn’t he?

  5. Wheaton College in Illinois is one of the most respected Christian Universities in the US. Very evangelical (in 2004 a professor was fired because he dared to become Catholic).
But they condone (and teach!!) evolution. That of course is a thorn in Ken Ham’s eye. A ‘Young Earth creation club’ cell would stir things up a bit.

  6. Every important jewish historian or archeologist KNOWS Genesis is a fairy tale, only dimwitted xtian fundies insist that the fairy tale is true and continue to lie about the “facts”.

  7. Hammy could only get three students from a christian school to go to the ark park, that doesn’t bode well for the Hamster or Williamsburg.

  8. I think a better date to re-release this movie would be April 1st.

Yes answer all the young creationists interviewed – not a dissenting voice among them.

  10. These movie events are just another way they fleece the flock. These movies could never make it as a theatrical release, yet to a rube it might have that appearance because it is being played in the same venue.
I hope they stop making money, it is the only way they’ll disappear.
(Kirk Cameron has one coming up too.)

  11. This is the film Thomas Purifoy Jr made instead of educating his daughter when she started asking questions about the Bill Nye/Ken Ham debate.

Sorry, but I found it worth repeating.

    My bad.
